MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a well-established, nationally ranked heart and vascular practice located in Columbia, South Carolina. Join a hardworking team of 25 cardiologists, 2 cardiothoracic surgeons, 2 vascular surgeons and 24 APPs to provide advanced treatment and personalized care to patients in Columbia, SC, and the surrounding communities.

About the position:

• Join a well-respected Heart & Vascular practice with a 40-year history in the community.
• Provide advanced heart failure patient care services through consultative and inpatient cardiac services, patient admissions under the Advanced Heart Failure/LVAD service, and outpatient care in our Heart Failure Outpatient Center.
• Provide advanced heart failure care services independently, including optimal care of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs).
• At MUSC Columbia, Advanced Heart Failure sub-specialty clinics include Amyloid Cardiomyopathy Clinic, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic, Palliative Cardiology Clinic, and Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic.
• Support the Heart & Vascular Center’s initiatives to continuously improve patient care and outcomes through innovative programs and utilizing new technologies including virtual health care delivery and participating in the latest research and clinical trials.
• Call shared with existing AHF Cardiologists and supported by Cardiologists. Shock call alternating weekly with AHF physicians when attending the CVICU.
• Advanced Heart Failure attendings will be offered the opportunity to maintain credentials post-transplant and post-LVAD inpatient care at MUSC Charleston for up to two weeks per year.
• Medical Genetic counseling is readily available.
• Access to cardiac CT, MRI, 3D Echo, PET and SPECT equipment, electrophysiology equipment, and cath labs on site.
