Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Regional Director (Level L) to oversee and lead a Field Service Regional Support team at a domestic or International location. The position is located in Seal Beach, CA.

Position Overview:

The selected candidates will be responsible for managing teams providing direct customer support for a geographic region for a set of customers.

The Regional Director position may require an international assignment based on the final region as assigned after hiring. International assignment locations may not be known at the time of candidate selection. As such, candidates must be able to follow worldwide immigration and health policies. Assignment benefits are provided for assignment locations in accordance with company and organizational policy

Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on an international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages Field Service first-level managers and employees performing technical support for commercial airplanes and are co-located at a customer facility.

• Develops and executes customer support strategies and tactics to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage, and foster business growth.

• Directs coordination of technical and administrative support activities for a variety of customer issues.

• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed locations.

Long-term Assignment details:

• Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.

• Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.    

• Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering or and A&P license and equivalent technical experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with external customers.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

• Experience in providing customer support for commercial airlines preferred

• Experience in working in a global environment preferred

• Experience in managing dispersed teams preferred

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$143,650 – $194,350

• Relocation on this requisition will be offered to the primary location on the requisition i.e Seal Beach, CA.

• Relocations benefits from the primary location to the international location will be provided separately.
