The States of Guernsey are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Disability team, working as part of the multi-disciplinary Adult Community Learning Disability and Autism Team.
Your Role:
As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you’ll manage a defined caseload, applying evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions. You’ll play a key role in coordinating Occupational Therapy Service to the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Developing tailored intervention plans to support individuals with learning disabilities & autism
- Working alongside families, caregivers & healthcare professionals to create holistic care strategies
- Promoting independence & quality of life through specialized therapy approaches
- Maintaining accurate clinical records to support ongoing service evaluation
- Contributing to service development & innovation within Adult Community Services
What You Need:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Previous experience in learning disabilities or autism (preferred but not essential)
- Commitment to client-centred care & professional development
