Job Summary:

  • Design and supervise the execution of high-quality radiation treatments for patients with various diseases.
  • Ensure all quality control standards are implemented and constant quality assurance measures are in place.
  • Remain in compliance with best standards of patient care service documentation and all appropriate regulatory agency requirements
  • Visually view, evaluate, and interpret medical records, physical exams, and other relevant data of patients; to include competency in taking history and examining patients.
  • Process all essential clinical and diagnostic findings into sound treatment recommendations in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Must be self-motivated, conscientious, and able to communicate (orally and in writing) and relate well to peers and personnel at the technical and administrative level. Advocate and educate other clinicians within the Center regarding the current developments in radiation oncology and the future treatment options available across disease sites. Identify and solve problems related to job responsibilities using knowledge and experience in multiple settings; must be able to move from one multidisciplinary disease site to another.
  • Active participation in Radiation Oncology peer review and Safety Committee. Tumor Board is held once a month.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved training program in the United States
  • The applicant should be Board Certified in Radiation Oncology from the American Board of Radiology. 
  • Maintain a valid medical license in the State of Texas and all other institutional requirements necessary to practice medicine.
