Do you want to join a friendly and dynamic team where you can have clinical freedom and continue to develop your career? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

About us
Our in-store small animal practice, situated in Friern Barnet (Northwest London), is seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team, to replace one of our vets who is sadly leaving after several happy years with us. Our team is made up of friendly, supportive, and professional individuals who prioritize high clinical standards and exceptional pet care. We work our cases up to a very high level and are looking for someone with the same commitment to providing the best care for our clients and their pets.

Since our owners Roger and Jonathan acquired the practice 3 years ago, our team has grown significantly. We are now a 3.5 vet practice with a varied and interesting case load. Our head nurse Rosie is highly experienced, having worked for over 15 years in first opinion practices, 24-hour emergency and referral hospitals. The rest of our nursing team includes another two RVNs, a final year SVN, and two VCAs. We have a full reception team who, along with our practice manager Petra, ensure the smooth running of our practice.

At Friern Barnet, we are well equipped with a full in-house lab, ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and processor, and diathermy. For our inpatients we have species-specific kennel areas, bair hugger, nebuliser, and exotics incubator.

We are also located on Friern Bridge Retail Park, with lots of onsite parking and as we are just off the North Circular, easily accessible for those preferring to drive to work. There are also excellent public transport links as the practice is just a few minutes’ walk from Southgate Overground Railway Station and Arnos Grove Underground Station. A new M&S Food Hall next door has allowed our lunch standards to improve dramatically!

"There aren't many practices I would have given up locuming for after 10 years, but this is one of them! I love seeing the progress the practice has made, implementing high levels of care for all our patients" - Rosie, Head Nurse

"As a student nurse my team are continuously encouraging and supporting my learning, allowing me to develop my clinical skills. I feel like an appreciated and respected member of the team" - Alice, Student Vet Nurse
