Job Description & Summary

Our Real Estate Tax team is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant / Manager to join our vast community of solvers in Sydney or Melbourne. We serve our clients in the real estate industry and assist them to solve difficult commercial and tax problems. Our client base includes top ASX organisations, Australian superannuation funds, listed and unlisted real estate funds, foreign pension and sovereign funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, Australian and foreign fund managers and Australian asset operators. 


We deliver effective solutions blending technical skills and strategy to advise our clients with spectacular results. We’re looking for tax professionals to take our team to the next level, as we assist our prestigious portfolio of real estate clients to solve complex commercial and tax challenges. 


Use the know-how you've gained in Australian taxation, your experience in business development and proposal activities to grow our business. With new problems to solve, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to create an impact and effect meaningful change. 

 

In our Real Estate team, your impact will be seen by: 

  • Developing  investment structures for our clients, with a particular focus on inbound investment structures, taxation of trusts and Managed Investment Trusts (MITs) 

  • Working closely with our wider Financial Advisory business (including our Deals, Indirect Tax (stamp duty, transfer pricing and GST), Legal, and Private Clients teams) on large-scale transactions and advisory 

  • Researching and analysing complex technical tax issues  

  • Assisting  clients with their tax compliance obligations, including preparing and/or reviewing trust and company tax returns 

  • Working with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to obtain rulings for clients, and make submissions to Treasury on policy matters
