Trade Assistant - Leading Hand

Reporting to the WIP Shed Supervisor, you will lead and supervise a small team, ensuring high safety standards and managing work-in-progress materials between strip down and rebuild stages.

The WIP Shed at WesTrac plays a crucial role in managing the flow of work-in-progress materials between strip down and rebuild stages. Supporting the Caterpillar Rebuild Centre with reliable and innovative solutions, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.  Rosters on Offer: 5/2 - 5 days on, 2 days off 10 hours (30 minutes lunch break)

 What You’ll Do: 

• Lead and motivate a team of up to 10 employees’
• Provide training and mentorship to team members
• Oversee daily operations and manage work-in-progress materials.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow

Skills & Experience: 

• Experience with mining, construction, or industrial equipment
• Leadership experience in a workshop or warehouse environment
• Forklift license with reach forklift experience
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (SAP, DBS, or similar)
• Ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously
