Reporting into Operations Supervisor, the Trade Assistant will join our Flexi Parts Department on a Full Time basis at our Perth Airport location. This role involves assisting with the busy workload to meet the required deadlines and schedules. As a Trade Assistant, you will work on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to wrapping and strapping items, washing radiator cores in the wash pad, performing vehicle pre-starts, and running our ultrasonic cleaning/testing tank to support our Radiator exchange program

Department Overview: Flexi Parts & Mining Services is a WesTrac business that offers an opportunity to learn and develop your trade alongside a passionate team with a range of opportunities including powertrain overhauls, machine dismantling and rebuilds, radiator overhauling services and undercarriage repairs.  Depending on your experience Flexi Parts have many areas to apply your skills and we are always seeking good people to upskill.

Roster:

5 On, 2 Off – days – 10 hrs/day OR

4 On, 3 off – days - 12 hrs/day

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with a busy workload to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Wrap and strap items, wash components, and perform vehicle pre-starts.
• Handle yard duties, load/unload equipment, and dispatch components.
• Support various tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Experience:

• Forklift ticket and dogging
• Previous experience working as a trade assistant or in a yard role
• Demonstrated ability to work well both in a team environment and autonomously.
• Experience working with machinery (desired)
